Position: broker
Location: Beijing
Position responsibilities
The broker is expected to play a vital role in the daily chartering work of the office including (but not limited to):
• Assisting senior brokers with chartering and operations
• Ensuring upmost team work and client satisfaction
• Execution of commercial strategies
• Have an eye for the market (stay in the market) including analyzing market trends to be able to guide clients
• Service clients
• To build, manage and maintain effective relationships with external and internal clients
• Make fixtures independently or jointly
• Develop and maintain contacts with ship owners, charterers, brokers to gain market information.
• Negotiate deals with brokers and companies on behalf of the client or company to secure best possible terms.
Qualifications /skill set
• Can write and speak very good English
• Strong skills in negotiation, decision making, presentation
• Ability to expand new business opportunities
• Strong communicator
